    Default Will it be enough?

Since I am pretty new to riding in SE WI ('til this year, almost all my riding has been in the northwoods) I have a question...

If it comes to pass that we get more than 6" down here (and also hoping it is on the heavier side) will that be enough for the groomers to get out, and if so, any estimate of how long it will take to open the trails? Given that there is no base to work with yet, along with my guess that all of the gates are still closed, (and does opening of the trarils require advance notice/publication?) etc., is it realistic to hope to get out for a local ride on Sunday?

And, Thanks, in advance, to the grooming crews!! Here's to hoping there will be enough to work with

    Default Trail Opening

Just a reminder - Trails will not open until all of the club Trail Masters call the county Trail Master and advise that their trails are safe to open.

Please call the Trail Hot line at 414-299-0330 before heading out to ride

We have a county meeting tonight, I should be able to find that answer out. Waukesha does not need to post the trail open date in the local paper the trails can open whenever the conditions allow.
I would say that if we get the snow Thursday/Friday that all of the clubs would try to get them opened by the weekend

Now if we can get the trail bosses to call each other before March, maybe the trails will open.

    Default ho hum

Well, I've got about 4 or 5" here in my yard - figuring the rest of Waukesha Co. is about the same. If I had to, I'd guess that we'll still be wating for at least another few inches to fall...this stuff was on the lighter side. With the winds picking up tonight, I'd bet a lot of the fields will get blown bare, with all the snow drifting at the tree lines and ditches.

That quick spike to 40 on Monday is looking awfully menacing We'd all really like to keep what just fell!

    Default Weathermen

I would like to look a weatherman straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?
