It would really be nice if the weather reports are correct. Some good old snow storm on top of this icy wet base and then some cold temps. Would make some great trails to open. Keep your fingers crossed

I've got my white plastic spoons in the freezer (along with the rest of my plastic silverware....) Maybe that will work?!?

....or do the spoons go under my pillow? I can't keep these snow recipies straight!

Seriously, though I was a bit disappointed with the ice, as it did further knock down what snow we have, I'm hopeful that it will help establish a decent base, and maybe if we get 4-6" of good wet snow this weekend - the local trails could open? It would be nice to sneak out of the house on Monday and Tuesday for a few hours!!!

I thought the trick was putting white crayons in the freezer

I guess THAT explains why I never have deep snow in my yard! Now, what did I do with all the kids crayons....?

8:20 AM on Sunday, and I have 4.5" of new snow in my driveway! Pretty fine crystals with decent weight, too! Unfortunately, the fearcasters say this system is moving northeast fast, so the heaviest snow is going to end in the next 90 mins or so. Probably have 6" - 7" here in New Berlin when done. Hopefully that's still enougn for the Travel Wisconsin Snow Conditions Map to get a lot more blue in the coming days!
